![]() CHARDON, OHIO - Thrive Performing & Visual Arts has appointed Chardon resident, Tom Siko, to its Board of Trustees. Siko is the first voting Board member from Chardon and Geauga County. Thrive is ecstatic to include such a community-driven and talented person like Tom on the Board. Siko, a twelve-year resident of Chardon, has a professional background in theater. Having studied Theater Technology and Business Administration, Siko began his career in professional theater and event technology where he was involved with many world- class events and musical tours. His career brought him back to Chardon as the President of Vincent Lighting Systems in Solon, OH. Siko has a passion for both bringing entertainment to life as well as helping communities thrive through organization, vision and creativity. He is also the President of the Chardon Crescendo Club, supporting the music program at Chardon Schools. Thrive is confident that Tom Siko will be an asset to the organization as they begin this next chapter at the Geauga Theater. The organization will host a ribbon cutting September 2nd at 6:00pm to mark the grand reopening of the historic theater. Extensive renovations have taken place during the venue's closure. People are encouraged to attend and tour the facility to see what has been accomplished and what's to come. The following week, Thrive will stage their first show at the rebranded venue - Back to the 80's. This show is a lively concert including a slew of classic 80's hits and imagery to capture the sights, sounds, and spirit of America’s most colorful decade.
